Wine, pastis, liqueurs and local herbal drinks
Ever since the Greeks introduced the vine to Provence some 2,600 years ago, our region has developed this valuable asset thanks to an ideal climate of sunshine and sea air. Why not pamper your senses with an anise-flavoured pastis from Marseille or Provencal wines, by attending one of the tasting sessions organised in Château de Valmer’s gardens by local producers and sommeliers. An ode to the picturesque aperitifs of Provence (green anise, star anise, fennel or liquorice root) and the bouquets of its wines. To be enjoyed in moderation with a home-made terrine, artichokes in flavoured olive oil or a plate of salamis and cold meats.
